The redesigned 2010 Toyota Prius has turned out to be an unstoppable sales juggernaut, defying the downward trend of the rest of the industry. In fact, the Prius is selling so well that the lowest priced base model, which was offered in direct response to the challenge offered by the less expensive Honda Insight, is being being phased out for non-fleet customers.
Furthermore, the company is raising the base price of the the remaining four Prius models $400.00 across the board, with the Prius II now starting at $22,400 while the top-level Prius V will start at $27,670.
