Twitter feed integrated into AllAboutPrius.com
As if life couldn't get any more digital and fragmentary, you may have heard about Twitter: short messages you can broadcast to a list of friends, each one no more than 140 characters long.
The service has been in the news lately as one tool used by Iranians protesting election irregularities, but it serves many masters. And it offers the ability to track topics by searching the content of all Tweets, as they're called.
Now our parent, High Gear Media, has integrated a real-time Twitter feed into all its sites, including AllAboutPrius.com. Many make-model pairs now include a page with the latest Tweets--including this page for the 2009 Toyota Prius, for example.
The tweets offer you up-to-the-minute links, references, news, buzz and more. We've already seen some interesting things flash by for some of the cars we've looked at: links to reviews or photos, users celebrating the purchase of a new car or bemoaning their current car, and some even asking the Twitter community for advice.
The new feature is another addition to the expert reviews, user reviews, videos, and Q+A content we're aggregating on each site. And that’s before we even get to our own expert original content.
As always, Toyota Prius shoppers, buyers, and owners, please let us know what you think.
